A journey to freedom for you & your students
In the yoga community, there’s often this unspoken belief teachers somehow know exactly what students need, how they feel, and can offer the perfect poses to fix everything.
I used to believe this too and I know you’ve been in this boat too.
But yoga is a deeply personal and internal journey- one that only the practitioner can truly navigate. As teachers, we have the privilege of creating the space for that journey, but we can't predict what someone will feel, think, or discover in their inner practice.
That’s why I designed this workshop/ to help you step out of your own way, let go of rigid ideas around cues, and create a space for students to have their own unique experiences, rather than trying to shape them.
What if there was a way for you to...
01
Feel relaxed + confident in your teaching
Letting go of the pressure to be perfect, and realizing that your genuine presence is what truly impacts your students.
02
Trust your intuition to guide classes
Offering cues that invite students to explore their bodies rather than rigidly following instructions?
03
Skillfully adapt your teaching
To meet the unique needs of each student, feeling empowered to support all abilities without feeling overwhelmed?
04
Teach with ease & lightness
Teach with ease and lightness, no longer feeling the heavy burden of “holding space” for every moment, allowing more freedom for students to connect with themselves?
If you're tired of...
-
Feeling pressure to be perfect, feel the need to have all the answers, and want to deliver the “perfect” class
-
Struggle with giving precise cues that feel too prescriptive, leaving little room for students to explore their own bodies and experiences
-
Feeling unsure about how to teach a class with students of varying abilities and needs and worry that you’re not serving everyone equally
-
Tired because you feel responsible for guiding and dictating every detail of a student’s practice, feeling like you’ll never be knowledgeable enough, no matter how much anatomy information you learn
-
Neglecting your personal practice, and the only time you really practice is when you teach
-
Feeling trapped by one-size-fits-all alignment cues and are ready to deliver yoga classes that helps each student connect to their own unique bodies and minds on a deeper level
If you're ready to...
-
Rediscover joy and personal growth in your own practice, with time set aside to deepen your connection to yoga outside of your teaching schedule?
-
Shift from a “one-size-fits-all” approach to one where you’re crafting experiences that allow every student to connect to their bodies and minds on a deeper, more personal level?
-
Feel a sense of flow and freedom during class, guiding students through an intuitive journey rather than delivering a rigidly structured experience?
-
Let go of the need for perfect answers, trusting that the yoga journey is personal, and your role is to facilitate self discovery rather than provide solutions?
-
Feel more energized and less drained, as your teaching shifts from controlling every moment to allowing space for your students to engage in their own experience?
-
Inspire your students to tune into their own wisdom, cultivating an environment where they feel empowered to move in ways that feel right for them, rather than conforming to an external standard?
That's exactly what Loosening the Controlling Grip, will help you do.
"Lena has truly transformed my understanding and experience of
yoga. This inclusivity fosters a non-judgmental environment,
allowing each individual to progress at their own pace."
She went from...
A practice that was one size fits all and didn’t feel right in her body, to a practice that truly fits HER. Not only does she feel better about her own body but she now feels like everyone around her unique experiences are equally wonderful.
